All that Jazz!

.

Jazz hits those very "Solid chords" of ones heart

Satchmo was no exception to this 'fatal fine art.

Playing the blues, he could hit notes pleasantly

from deep within his soul, it came so carefree.

.

His spontaneity was like a grace through the air

he knew one day it would take him somewhere.

dive bars in New Orleans is how he made a start

while at his young age, he sold coal from a cart.

.

Borrowing insturments to prove he had the soul

being broke and poor in life was just not a goal.

He made vows to step up and make things right

and finally got his chance, to be in the spot light.

.

Blowing that horn he played brought many tears

to audience's everywhere he played to for years.

Becoming the best ~Jazz player~ that ever blew

standing ovations in every town he went through.

.

He played "One of a kind" notes, no secret at all

from [day one] he started in that little town hall.

How did you play like that? they asked long ago

"Man .....if you gotta ask, you'll just never know!"

.

    ..a Worthy win!

Can I tell you that I love everything about
this wonderful man whose beginnings were
the strong sprouts and adult flowers of his
    music. What a gift!

Thank you for taking the time to bring him
to life. The chronology in photos was a
    3rd mile. My goodness.

    ..." ... and I say to myself
    what a wonderful world.
    Congratulations!

This is a very good poem. I like how you wrote about a trumpet player for jazz music. And you where able to tell his story and give that sass and wisdom that jazz has.
    Nice job!
