When I saw the rainbow
Arching over the sea,
I took time to ponder
Just where would the gold be?
Entertaining myself
With thoughts of rich fishes,
Using the golden coins
As expensive dishes!
And what if the rainbow
Finished on the ground?
Could the elusive gold
Effortlessly be found?
Yes, whenever I see
The bright-coloured rainbows
Arch over anywhere,
I always make time to
Fantasize about the
Gold, supposed to be there.

Hey, this is so funny. I am currently writing a poem about rainbows! Well, something like that.
I like how you put the rainbow in the water. That is not usually thought of!
Good luck in the contest. -
mmm. if only we could find that pot of gold. lol. this was short and sweet. a bit like a daydream. i felt as if i were reaching out for that gold as well. and the background is a wonderful complement of the poem.

The gold is here!
You have wonderful imagination, my friend!
And yet, I am thinking...isn't there gold anyway, if such a beautiful armony of colours could come out from wherever it was hidden?
May I say, I liked it. A lot!

I too look for the gold at the end of the rainbow. Excellent write, great imagery and emotion. I so loved it
