I fell for you,
Those years ago.
I saw you smile,
Then watched you go.
But now you’re back,
The sadness left.
I can give a cheer,
And join your weft.
I missed you much,
You were my star.
When you left,
My life went afar.
But, like the sun will shine,
After a time of rain,
My heart has healed, it’s better now,
And forgone it’s pain.
I’m happy now,
My eyes light bright.
Now you’re back,
It all seems a’right.

Dedicated to my dear friends.
Although they're nearly all gone, the few who stayed with me are the reason the stars dance.
They are amazing, brilliant people, and I love them with all my heart. They are family to me, and I hope they know how much I love them.
This is also the first piece of 'poetry' (cough) I've ever written with out blackmail from my school's English Department, so don't tear me to shreds too much!

MY! Love will never fail so may I just say that you’re title fits you’re poem perfectly. Friends who are dear are always those friends you keep. It’s always good to cherish that type of friendship… whether near or far. This is a very heart warming piece. I truly liked the 4th stanza rain and sunshine…pain and healing… wonderful thoughts by a wonderful poet. Expressively said!
I hope I can be back for more if I’m not too busy.

The 'english departement' thing is that I'm a total English nerd (
), and my teacher was continuously trying to make me write poetry, but I refused. I prefer to express myself through story writing.
