Wolves

In the night the wolves may howl
And in the night prey may prowl

In the dark the wolves will hunt
And in the dark prey ran rampant

Through the clearing the wolves attack
Through the clearing prey cut back

Underneath the moon’s subtle rays
The wolves feast upon the prey

And in the night the wolves howl

Author notes

A play on words mainly, but lots of symbolism in there

    Groovy

I agree, thanks for the non-depressing beat poetry.
The "howl" part reminds me of the Ginsberg epic.
Mm I think I'm seeing the symbolism too. Nice!

    At last

Thank you for putting something into the beat category that is not angry or sad. I had to travel too far down the list to find this. People I think have forgotten just what beat is. Againg thank you.
