Senseless

What happens to me when I am around you?
Gravity shifts and I fall because
I lost my footing down the stairs at school when I saw you

My tongue which can recite the entire declaration of independence in class
can not move to recite the feelings that I have for you
the ones that I stood in front of a mirror a thousand times
to declare the one thing in my heart that is true

My hearing is suddenly lost when your voice enraptures my senses
It's as serene as a tricking stream
and makes me as unaware as if I was deaf and blind
For there is only you and the sound of your voice

Your beauty is too much for my eyes to behold
my eyes can only take so much
though I cast my eyes down and away
I yearn to look at your beauty again
like a man grasping for his oasis in the desert.

I await for our next meeting
even if I only see you from a distance
that's better than nothing at all
For you leave me senseless
and I'd rather be senseless with you
than experience all my life without you
and waste my senses.
