This titled form was invented in 1999 by Craig Tigerman, Sol Magazine's Lead Editor. Only one word is allowed in the title followed by a single seven-line stanza. The first word in each line begins with the same letter as the title

 

xystus: The Romans applied the term to the garden walk in front of the porticoes.

xerographic : an electrostatic printing process for copying

xeroma: abnormal dryness of the conjunctiva and cornea of the eyes; may be due to a systemic deficiency of vitamin

xeric: of, pertaining to, or adapted to a dry environment.

xanthocephalus: The Yellow-headed Blackbird .

xerotic: abnormal dryness, as of the eye or skin.

xerogel: a solid formed from a gel by drying with unhindered shrinkage. Gelatinis one example.

      Thank you so much, I knew you were looking for something different so “X” was it. In my attempt to keep it from being boring, I made it rhyme. Great contest, it was a fun challenge.
