A love so rare, it can't be found
A baby sleeping, not making a sound
His little hands, curled in his palm
She holds him close, for she's his mom
His tiny ears, his button nose
She knows she'll be there, as he grows
Nothing else matters
But her baby boy
So much affection, and so much joy
She never thought she'd ever, become a mom
But when she felt him kick her
It was what she longed
She loves every inch of his body
From his head to his toes
Her heart will shortly leave her when he goes
He is her pride and joy, he is her baby boy
She watches him in awe, as he plays with his new toy
She changed so many diapers, and woke up in the night
He slobbered on his first cake, his smile was a delight
Two years came and went, She watched and helped him grow
Soon something horrible would happen, worse then she would know
Here's her little boy, now at the age of three
Playing in the park, there beside a tree
Laughing and a playing, having so much fun
Smiling at his mother, underneath the sun
She sat there on a bench, talking to a friend
She always sat in view, to see what her little man would do
She looked back at her friend, and started talking again
Her little baby boy, had found himself a friend
Not so very friendly, for it could make him dead
A snake had slithered by, making it's way home
The little boy wanted to play, not leaving it alone
The snake was full of venom, the boy was full of life
One little bite from the snake, and he would surly die
The snake twisted and wrapped around his arm
Then he gave his poison, doing the boy harm
The boy started to scream, from the snake stuck in his arm
His mother jumped in shock, showing her alarm
She rushed over to her son, who was crying out in pain
All of the snakes poison, was now coursing through his veins
Without hesitation she ripped the snake from her boy's arm
And twisted it's head sideways, till it moved no more
She quickly picked her son up, who's arm was bleeding fast
She had to get him to a hospital, or he would never last
She held him in her arms and ran over to her car
She started the ignition, but they didn't get very far
She looked at her boy in the backseat, his eyes started to close
Tears were forming in her eyes, as she screamed and hollered "no!"
She started driving faster, she had no time to waste
She didn't see the car pull out, it was a big mistake
She hit the breaks, but was too late, as the car hit her from the side
Both cars soon had stopped, no movement could be found
Soon many people heard, a very depressing sound
She had got out of the car, and ran to the backseat
She limped her way to her son, and tried to get him free
She sat there in the road, holding her son dear
It had finally happened, her one and only fear
She kissed his gentle forehead, and rubbed his little hands
Her little man was poisoned, and now her baby boy was dead
Her tears poured from her eyes, they were warm and full of pain
She lost her little boy, and her life in the same day
She held him to her heart, and whispered in his ear
"You have no need to worry, mommy's always here"
She'll never hear his laughter, or see his happy smile
She lost her world because of a snake, that was really vile
A love so rare, it can't be found
A baby sleeping, not making a sound
His little hands, curled in his palm
She'll never hold him again, because he is gone
