Where does sympathy grow?

Weigh down yourself
With the lies they have told you.
Hold close the critics
Like a child-cherished symbol.
Branding the emblums
Where relics cause the blemish
To explode,
We let it go.
Years awaited now
For the time that can't heal us
In its ploy of paying the dues;
Saying somehow,
"We can't be victims."
Do they know?
Peaking through plateaus,
With mountains uncovered
And calibers untouched by the snow.
Where does sympathy grow?
Is it cryptic in a chateau of faces,
Abstruse from the known.

Please tell me what you think

This really is an interesting piece. The title intrigued me. I do like the way you've formated the emotion on this. And the ending is most excellent. Much enjoyed this
