Poseidon's Pleasure

Ariel, Poseidon's pleasure, sits atop her rock.
The salty wind teases her wild locks.
.
Luring men to their watery graves,
with a voice as pure as rain.
Giving sailors false promises of love,
to trap them in her domain.
.
Ariel, Poseidon's pleasure, sang to the waves.
Melting the hearts of sailors, both strong and brave.
.
Ivory skin gleams in the morning sun.
Opal fish scales shine,
and flake off into the waves.
Lips stained red from blood and wine.
.
Ariel, Poseidon's pleasure, calls up the ocean's scream
and makes a nightmare out of a simple dream.
.
 Swimming after the  sinking ships.
One corpse for a bloody prize of her own,
feeding off soft flesh and heart,
and making crude jewelry from his bones.
.
Ariel, Poseidon's pleasure, mistress of the sea.
Hanging around her neck is death's grisly key
 .
Girls occasionally sucked down too,
and turn into Poseidon's eternal slaves.
Uses them day and night,
until they succumb to their graves.
.
Ariel, Poseidon's pleasure, with her heart of ice.
If you travel the sea, she'll make you pay the price.

I really like the repetition of the first three words. The flow was a little off in the forth stanza but great everywhere else. I loved this. You're an excellent writer.

Whoa, I'm loving it. Ariel is such a beautiful being, I never really thought of using her like this, in such a dark way. You've done an excellent and original job with this. I love the repitition of "Ariel, Poseidon's Pleasure," it sounds so lovely, and keeps it all together. I'm very impressed.
