Sad Song.

It's rainy and gray,
So we sing a sad song,
Sit in a lonely place,
And sing to ourselves and the rest of the world.
But, it's all the same at the end of the day.
We make mistakes.
Pay for them everyday.
Live them, Fix them.
We live our lives.
Live for today.
Live for tomorrow.
Live for ourselves.
We don't think about others.
No one really thinks about others.
We don't really know how they feel.
We don't really understand.
We dont really care.
Everyone takes care of themselves, no one else.
We're all lonely.
Everyone is just looking for happyness, pursuing it,
But no one ever finds it.
Pandora's box made sure of that.
Evil overcomes good.
Sad overcomes happy.
It's the way the world works.
Nothing in life is fair.
Nothing in life is the way we want it.
It's rainy and gray,
So we sing a sad song,
Sit in a lonely place,
And sing to ourselves and the rest of the world.

Wooh, this screams of teen angst and young misperceptions, and shows how scary youth can be, the fear of living the rest of life, seeing how horrible a lot of it is. Good write!

    Welcome to Allpoetry

Hi! I see this is your first poem here on this site, and I think it shows a great sense of creativity. I too thought at first this was too repetitive, but after completing the read... I think it served good purpose. I actually think you have an unusual style, which is quite captivating!! Wonderfully done! Hard to believe this is your first!!

    Always,
    Melanie

Pessimistic, to be sure. The first time I glanced over this, I thought it was too repetitive and droning. I changed my mind after reading more closely. It's a flow of thought, I suppose, and actually very interesting.
