A solitary, twinkling star
Alone in the blackness of the night
So far from where the hearts desires
Yet still so close
Many miles may separate us right now
But still I hold you close to me
When I lay down to sleep
You’re still the one I kiss goodnight
When I wake, you’re still the first one I see
A part of you is always at my bedside
Keeping me safe as I sleep
And giving me strength to rise
And face the world each day
Each time I look in the mirror
You are there, smiling back at me
In my own reflection
Forever with me
The treasure around my neck
Glistens in the glass
Reminding me that I am never alone
And as I walk life’s mysterious path
You go with me where I go
For this chain of silver
Holds our precious memories in every droplet
Linked together by the unbreakable bond of love we share
You may be many miles away
But you are always in my heart

this is good
This is a good write. I have been on the end of looking at the trinket given to me by someone I love. Sometimes that trinket is all it takes to spark a memory. Bravo. Very good write.

wow amazing. i can so relate to this my boyfriend is a cross the country. and i have a righ from him that some how makes me feel better. and to me he is allways here. i cant wait to see him again. i love this poem and i have a contest going on right now and i would like it if you entered something about long distance relationships. bacause i can see the emotion in your wrighting. amazing poem
