Hope

Do not lose hope in the fading light,
For those who dream never give in;
Fight, fight into the coming night.

The children sleep, their happiness in flight.
Their innocence is something that intrigues their kin.
Do not lose hope in the fading light.

Teenagers watch and learn their parents great might,
For they are the ones who take the place of the fallen.
Fight, fight into the coming night.

Elderly are the wise that have seen many a sight.
Wisdom is what they give to save the young from their final tin.
Do not lose hope in the fading light.

People watch their loved ones leave for the fight,
Becoming one in prayer to protect their loved ones from sin.
Fight, fight into the coming night.

Leading them with hope, with a heart of right,
Is their land they live, protecting and holding us as a skin.
Do not lose hope in the fading light.
Fight, fight into the coming night.

I'm not sure what to think of this. I know the last stanza consisting of four lines kind of throws the whole thing off...where you have three-lined stanzas the rest of the poem...thanks for entering....
