I'm Standing Here

I'm standing here at your front door
My arms and knees are on the floor
I'm crying here, Will you let me in?
Trying to forgive what I did
And if the past doesn't let me in
I will knock, Scream, Cry out loud
I will hurt, Fight, Stand around
For you to open your soul, To let me in

I'm off the edge, hanging here
And if the world doesn't see, I don't care
Sanity has haunt my life, If my fingers
Crumble there goes my life

Catch me, I'm falling for you
Hate me, I'll still love you
I'll be the one to hold you when your falling

I'm standing here at your front door
My arms and knees are on the floor
Take this heart, I do not care
Forgive me, For loving you
Forgive me, that will do
For if I die, I never will stop(pause)
Loving you

I'm off the edge, hanging here
And if the world doesn't see, I don't care
Sanity has haunt my life, If my fingers
Crumble there goes my life

Catch me, I'm falling for you
Hate me, I'll still love you
I'll be the one to hold you when your falling

I'm standing here at your front door
My arms and knees are on the floor
I'll hold you tight, Be your light
And if the moon doesn't shine I'll never let go...
For my love knows no bounds, In loving you
Just open you heart, let me show you

I'll be the one to hold you when your falling
Just say "I love you"

As soon as i got to the second stanza i thought song! It would make a great song. I would be wondering if i could use a line or 2 as inspiration for my own poetry It shall be given due credit.

I'm off the edge, hanging here
And if the world doesn't see, I don't care
Sanity has haunt my life, If my fingers
    Crumble there goes my life

Favourite stanza! The imagery is so vivid, i can see you clinging on but not at the same time. So good! Love it all!

I can definately relate on so many levels and this is very heartwrenching as well. You had very strong and powerful words put in this which helped, I would think. over all this is one of the best I've seen so far.

"Catch me, I'm falling for you
Hate me, I'll still love you
I'll be the one to hold you when your falling

I'm standing here at your front door
My arms and knees are on the floor
Take this heart, I do not care
    Forgive me, For loving you
    Forgive me, that will do
For if I die, I never will stop(pause)
    Loving you"

I really liked that part, can actually see this being sung.
great write and good luck in the contest
