Carbon Chauvinism

Crystal lattice or conception’s chain
Molecules less of thought than gain
Imagination aborted by egos blind
Extraterrestrial threads left to unwind

Zygote genes eschew the taste
Of alien endowments shunned in haste
While embryos of omnipotent fame
Divide and conquer all but shame

A fetus orbit round the sun
Just once more for old time fun

Please tell me what you think

Not usually a fan of AABB rhyme, but this is stellar. [pun kind of intended] Also, I'm horribly against pimping poems, but you got me hooked with this one. I'm glad you sent me the link. Anything with great wording and spacial imagery makes me giddy.
Every line is brimming with brilliance; truly, I am blown away.
The ending and beginning lines grabbed at my attention the most.
    "Crystal lattice or conception’s chain
Molecules less of thought than gain"
for me, they represent the difference between belief of religion or science, and the fact that if people could tap into the thing that makes up quantum particles, it would clear a lot of things up. But right now, the human race is stuck in suspension for complete knowledge. [not sure if that makes any real sense]
"A fetus orbit round the sun"
a metaphoric, galactic rebirth of some sort. That line really intrigues me.
    Loved this.
