Always They Return

No matter how others view
Mother Russia, Mother Russia
will always be home
A warm heart in a cold bosom
Run if you can, but home she is
Mother Russia, Mother Russia
always the waiting home
Borscht and Kashka
Oranges of Georgia
Return to the womb
in the fury of yin and yang
Mother Russia, Mother Russia
export the talent. but not the souls
They cry your name
Mother Russia, Mother Russia
Eternal seekers of the Spring
But don't drink the tea if it's dark
For politics corrupts her body
and gangsters give her
a different heart
But from the Kremlin cry the saints
and Lenin has found peace
in the arms of Mother Russia

I think this poem does a good job of explaining why people still love Russia even when, in the throws of communism, it strangled them in their sleep, figeratively. I've always found it curious that Russians should still love their country after such betrayal, but I do believe it is beyond what many mediocre citizens of countries can comprehend. You don't love something because it is good to you, you love something, or someone, unconditionally because a commitment has been made to love. And I think you bring that our beautifully!

    Cheers

      Russians, Tenenneseans and Texans

Three groups who do not have to be native born to be loyal to belief in family. I hope your lawyer is doing well.
God bless em. Mr. Skeen said you can take the Russian away from Russia but he will always be Russian, the power of their music and people who came from the same Norse lines as my Scots are survivors. Ed in his youth was intemperate but made friends there, often talks of taking me there some spring. Odd thoughts go through your head when you think of Russia, the enemy that never was.
