Life is just
life is short
Aging like rust
Living for sport
Mothers crying
Dealers selling
Children buying
Hearts swelling
People in terror
Tensions rising
Presidential error
Rebels devising
Families hurting
Soliers dying
A government diverting
The blood drying
Bad news flooding
Countries fighting
No assurence budding
Preachers reciting
This is War
Where is Peace?
Bush worth Dying for?
Where is peace?

This COuld Be A Song.................
like Billy Joel's "We didn't start the fire" Only I find it interesting how when people write poems like this, they make sure to zoom in primarily on Bush. Heaven forbid we put Osama's name or Bin LAden's name in the stanza's about kiling and dying!! You did a great job on this as far as writing goes. You kept me all the way through. I just disagree with some of the content. This "War" has been fueled since the beginning of time. But thank you for sharing your views with me today!!!~~Toni~~

excellent
this is a great write - tells a story of truth about the lies the world was fed - the rhyme and flow are great too - but the story is the truth - the war visited on the people of Iraq is EVIL as is G.W. Bush and his cronies - except they repent they will burn in Hell. I read all the comments you recieved on this poem so I need not say more - you have my support as well - I have 4 poems on my sight you may like - "If I Were The President" -- "The Garden Gate" -- "Iraq Attack" and " A Flag For A Life" ohhhhhhhh ya and "Collatral Damage" keep on writing - Bless God - Dobar Dan

where is the peace?
Your absolute correct this world is slowly being devored by war. I no first hand the pain and suffering that war causes. It slipts up homes, hurt inoncent people, and leaves no one feeling quite peace. No i dont think that bush is worth dying for, but there are some things that i think are worth dying for such as loved ones, freedom, etc. I dont love war but sometimes its necessary. We must not forget how war help us free the jews, free americans, free the slaves. War is ugly but sometimes necessary. Great poem. -

This is a pretty good poem, and I did like it although it isn't the type of poetry I usually go for. Thank you for your entry and good luck in my contest.

Line 14 should be soldiers.
This is exactly how I feel about the country we are living in...is Bush worth dying for? My answer is no.
Well written and short and to the point. I love it. Thanks for entering!
