You brought over some heartache
a burnt cd (oldies only)
& some cheap wine
asked me to make you smile;
we fucked all night
to 'Crimson and Clover'
on repeat, burnt incense
to hide the scent and hurried
your clothes together the next morning.
Author notes
"Yeah, my, my such a sweet thing
I wanna do everything
What a beautiful feeling
Crimson and clover over and over"
Fuck, I talk big, don't I?
Hey... at least it's not bleeding.

Tommy James and the Shondells is one of my favorite oldie bands... i won't mention i was a teenager when it first came out
anyhoo... i was waiting for more. i think that's a sign of me needing to write more about sex... hmmmm

Love what you did with that concept. Truly fucking stunning! I love it! I love that song. Congrats to you!

at least one of us got their fuck on. and i'm glad it wasn't bleeding.

Whatcha talking about Willis? You talk just right..
You speak to us not at us..
Hence why we lounge on the ratty rugs and chugalug warm coffee and drown our sorrows in you.

What a way to make crimson non cliche. Very well written...though, I'm not surprised...we are talking about you here.
-
Oh wow, this is so powerful.
"a girl who doesn't write" my ass.
;D
This was stunning.. and.. oohh.. yea, makes me want to roll in mud
though i htink you cheated a little with your use of crimson

I was there. I swear I was. Only it was me and not you....
Ah good ole Joan. I saw her way back when -- what a nasty bitch she was. Throwing shit at the crowd. But I still love her.
You didn't use shards though. Don't you think shards goes so well with crimson?

LOL I haven't the talent to pull off crimson AND shards. Not without sounding like every other emo on this site. There are some things I just can't do...

"I hate myself for loving you..." I like that song. Jett just has that angry voice that makes me love her.

Joan??? As in Jett, I assume.
Hmmm...I liked the original version by Tommy James and the Shondells better...although Joan does rock the house when she wants to...{waves at Lisa, grinnin'}
"You brought over some heartache", ehhh, Meli girl??? Sighhh...Sometimes, it's better to not even answer the door...then again...
Good luck in Anasuya's contest, Sweetie...

I like the original version better, too. Though I love Joan Jett, of course.
Thank you.
