Primates.

monkey see, monkey do is what we say
when the 'primitive' imitate our habits
they smile and point like theyre our best friends
when really they think we're stupid

see humans believe theyre the smartest species
for things like electricity, and government, and war
we think were the best for all our dominations
monkeys disagree for precisely those reasons

so when we cure another disease, only to watch it mutate
destroy another enemy to simply spawn some more
we'll take pride in all our wisdom
and greedily search for more

all throughout mankind's existence our cousins have remained
static. although inferior, they dont seek power, they maintain harmony
to accept the world for what it is and be comfortable, that is the true wisdom
instead of destroying their surroundings they make due with what they have

monkey see, monkey do, is what we say, its so fucking cute
when they mimic our actions as a little boy does a father
the jokes on us though, they mimic not in envy
they imitate out of pity

human see, human use
human need, human take
human fear, human kill
