I fight within a diary
For eminence within my life.
And the dust beneath my feet
Mixes with the blood of the...
Imagination.
And there are times when
I can only hope to survive.
Others when I believe a victory
Has been obtained beyond my...
Comprehension.
But every once in a while,
A white flag waves on the breeze.
And each part of me stands alone
With neither logic, nor word,
Neither demand nor surrender.
It becomes a time of peace,
A time we desperately need.

yes, the white flag of peace to call a truce on our inner struggles is needed to reflect upon and renew our writing spirit.
