As i sit on the dock looking into the
murky water, a calm rushes over me.
Thoughts and memories of childhood
consume my very being.
Here I was free, no cares, no worries,
fun and laughter ruled the day.
The silence is golden as my mind
wonders back to simpler times.
Camp fires and smores
singing and warming ourselves.
The silence here in this place is soothing.
Remembering old times and sharing new ones.
Here at Camp Kolomoki I was with my Mother,
now I share it with my daughter.
The time has changed but the feelings the same.
I pass it on to her.
Enjoy my love,
and cherish.......

A very sweet reflection about the passing of time, youth and changing roles, but yet the feelings are still the same.

History repeats itself
Time changes, but we don't sometimes. One of the greatest things is to experence things and pass them on to your children. Especally when they can do it in the same mannor as we did. Great job, The Shaker

Yes it does. We have so many good memories there, which makes this year bitter sweet, we may not go back.... might be getting out of girl scouts next year.
