I looked down upon your feeble shell
Such a tradgedy withheld
I know it's not much longer now
Au revior my friend, farewell
Remember a time when we first met
That fateful summers eve
A beautiful sight you were to me
Precious memory, i'll never forget
So dear to me you are since then
In my heart i hold you close
Old age is but a curse of state
In time we'll meet again
I saw you lain upon the bed
Awaiting your peace to come
The pain etched across your face
That moment my heart, it bled
Death is just the passing of life
It happens to every soul
Enables us to freedom again
Goodbye worry, goodbye strife
Silence ensued across the world
The moment your time had come
Such a silence will never again befall
Love and hate unfurled
So menial how they seem to be
In context with passing life
Wake up dear friends, forgive your foes
And listen to Mother Earth's plea
Silence........Peace........This is what's meant to be
This is what the passing of life means to me

I like the message and tone of this poem. Your style is very natural and I couldn't even tell there was a rhyme until thinking about it consciously.
However, I think it would be better if you used You instead of U.
But a strong entry never the less.
Thanks for entering and best of luck in my contest. -

This is a good write. Personally, I don't like the U in place of the word but that is one person's opinion. You had a nice rhyme stylethat is tough to accomplish sometimes. Will look at some others soon. Pen on...

Nice job with this, sad. I like the line in your first paragraph, last line. Great job of showing how much that you cared. Take care dear poet.
