this mind is now closed
to the public.
The once vibrant hubbub
humming with activity,
is now only open to
theories of shared relativity.
We don't mean to
deselect you from
our humble resting place,
don't take it personally
it's only the color of
your face.
If we won't entertain you
it's not that we
don't like you,
it's just that we
don't like the
church you go to.
We think you're
a great person,
and we'd even give
you a job.
We have friends
that are like you.
Don't be offended
because it's really
not your fault.
Please do not subject
us to your heated
verbal assault.
We'd hate to have
more reason to think
you don't belong.
It simply comes down
to the fact that
we're always right
and you're always wrong.

Exceptional writing here. I love the cynical dark humor you are attempting. It's coming off very arrogant and I'm sure that's what you were going for. This is a very well paced and well flowed piece. Clever rhyme,clever topic.So well worded,,,and so typical of some groups in society,in the world....Just amazingly put together!It is very humourous, and yet really very truthful...when it comes down to the crunch.."We are wrong and they are right~!" In todays' society there is not much place for that idea,but we know it is surely present...A Masterpiece! -

Superb...On Point
I'm closed minded to some things...especially if I find that a belief is more than a belief...finding out it is fact closes mind to the untruth. I'm also closed minded about things I'm not so proud of being closed minded about...but there is not one person on this earth who can say they are completely open to all concepts, beliefs and ideas however, this piece certainly makes parody of that fact and I think this is superb.
