What you sad for?

The moment of lightness I've been waiting for snaps into place with the rhythmic clack clack clack of heels on cobblestones older than my own country.

Souris!

Finally I can skip down Quai de Béthune giddily rolling my r's until I arrive, rosy-cheeked and confident about this new life.

Author notes

Not a poem so much as relieved stream of consciousness.

I like this, short and open for the imagination. I think I'd definitely rate it higher than 5/10, just because the kind of mental image this gives. Good job.
