The sun does say a goodnight
Beauty lights the sky
Wonders of the night
Beautiful display of lights
Mysterious stars
Author notes
"Haiku is a Japanese verse form that
relies on brevity and simplicity to convey its
message. It is usually three lines of five, seven,
and five syllables, and frequently includes
natural images or themes.
It is believed to have been first written in
the seventeenth century and is based on a
Zen Buddhist philosophy of simplicity and the
idea of perfection that excludes the extraneous."

WOW someone who read the rules, seriously you're actually the first one i've had a glimps at who isn't going to be DQ when i judge. This has fantastic description in it, not keen on the idea of two haikus in a chain but you have worked it fantastically around each other to create a perfect link, the season is a interesting challenge to find which is nice, and I really like the information you have put in the author notes, sadly i have only studied Theravada Buddhism so i didn't know that fact. I really liked the second part of the chain it is absolutly beautiful well done i would of been happy just seeing that one let alone the first also, thankyou so much for entering

Yay! It's so great to see a good Haiku! I love them, and my absolute favourite poem ever is one, but so few people can convey what they want to say in such a short space. I love this one though, you've done a fantastic job here =]
Keep it up!
