Hush, don't say a word.
Don't let out your breath.
This noise wants to be heard.
It's louder than all the others.
Powerful, the sound smothers.
And it's always the softest.
I can't find myself through it.
The solidity of it presses in.
It's a pressure you can't escape.
Flip through the files in your mind.
The quiet has secrets to whisper.
Hug your true self close.
This silence is a moment of self discovery.
Lose yourself in its gentle brutality.
Hush, don't say a word.
The deafening and mute monster
will save you in this forest, tonight.

Interesting how you described silence as being smothered by all the other noises, I feel that way myself. I like how you discover it as a moment of self-discovery.
Some very neat thoughts here.
Thanks for entering my contest and best of luck.
