He stood by her bed,
consumed by the fact that she was dead...
And he was the one responsible.
Everyone told him not to blame him self,
but he knew in his heart it was his fault
that his best friend ended it all.
For the first time in many years,
he bowed his head and
cried hundreds of tears.
He realized the mistake he made,
as he became overwhelmed by pain.
She loved him but he didn't love her.
How he wished that he hadn't hurt her.
She took her own life,
so he curled up and waited to die
to be with her again,
and apologize for the mistake he made
in not giving her the time of day.
She was lonely, desperate for company.
But he just turned her away,
for he loved her, but not in that way,
which proved to be a fatal mistake.
He raised his head and screamed
that he was sorry in agony.
And he fell to the ground and lay,
waiting for death to take him to his grave.
But his wish didn't come,
he was forced to remain in the world,
living every day trying to forget
the mistake that caused him such regret.
I don't know where this came from. I guess it came from several weeks ago during a hard time. I started it then and finished it today. It doesn't mean anything, inspiration just struck. hehe

Simple story yet so full of great emotion. Well done for expressing this. I love it
wow what a very sad story and a wonderful use of very emotional imagery. this is soo very sad, but also very simple in its story. i love how you have explained every little detail of his regret for not trying to love her more. its oo sad, yet things like this happen all the time, only mostily not to the extreamness of this simply story, often its just how we can feel, and it is the most horrible feeling.
A truely beautiful write. keep it up.
Best wishes

Well its a very good poem but if you actually make this an actually scenerio, it ISN'T his fault, you can never make yourself love someone the same as the other person, and if he did love her in a friend way and she really loved him...she wouldn't have done it...I know this is just a poem but I like to put my opinions across different scenerios haha..I don't know why. but this is good
