I’m Anne Bonny the pirate lass
Sailing the seven blue seas
Brandishing my cutlass
And going where I please
I’ll heed no rules of man
Or obey their silly law
I’ll do what I want and can
Upon the oceans blue maw
However you may try
You’ll find me not matey
For the oceans as wide as the sky
And I’m clever Anne Bonny
So seek the seven seas lads
Though find me you never may
For I’m no fool like other cads,
That sail upon the ocean gray
I can beguile any lass or man
To come and sail beneath me
Defying nations’ law and ban
To thieve upon the seven seas
Though you may fell Calico Jack
And fearsome Blackbeard grim
I’ll fend off your each attack
And set you all to swim
And when at last my reign be o’er
My flag captured at last
My smiles and whiles open cell doors
And I’ll be gone again fast
I’m Anne Bonny the Pirate Lass
Sailing across the blue sea
And you may search, men of brass,
But you’ll never catch me
Annie Bonny lass O’ the sea

This is exactly what I was more or less looking for, writes inspired by Pirates. Great job on this one, and keep the pen flowing.

I like it. I imagined a red-haired firey lady when I read this. Very piratey! LOL Great work with this piece. I have but one suggestion:
However you may try
You’ll find me not matey
For the oceans as wide as the sky
And I’m clever Anne Bonny
Rhyming matey and bonny is a bit of a stretch. I really don't have any suggestions for it, though. Perhaps a pirate slang word would fit, somethign not on the rhymer? IDK, but a great write!
