A Couples Game of Rhyme

“Let me propose a simple game of rhyme"
“Oh Harold, really, do you think we have the time?”

“Well done my dear, I think you have a knowledge of the rules.”
“My mind is quick and sharp, my love. I need no other tools.”

“Then I’ll begin with a challenge of alliteration.”
“Cathy Crept by the Commode with a Case of Cramping Constipation”

“Well done my dear”

“Don’t act so queer. I know the rules of grammar.”
“Then let me finish my sentence, love, if you have the manner”

“But don’t you see I traded you. It’s now my turn to pick.”
“Then, by all means, you pick away. Just make sure it’s rather quick”

“Then use five words that rhyme completely in one line”
“Let’s see, to me a tree can be a melody. A tune so very fine.”

“Well, I’m impressed”

“And not my best. I still have a trick or two up my sleeve”
“Oh look what you did, I’m second again. You’ll make me want to leave.”

“You must personify an object while rhyming ‘Galactic Integration’”
“The wind and I could be quiet for hours but have a fantastic conversation”

“Pure poetry my dear. A triumph worthy of Poe.”
“You don’t have to tell me, my dear. I know”

“Oh, this game could go on for hours on end. There’s some tea I could brew”
“As long as those hours and tea are spent with you.”

This was amazing. the humor, wit and flow was great. The thing that got me the most is how witty the responses flowed with the conversation. I really enjoyed this. ~ mikeeeeeeeeeeee

I really like this, it's funny and mentions a very popular and respected old poet - E.A Poe. Linen 6 really had me laughing out loud. I work in Aged Care and this line I can relate to so well.
