Hands so big and rough
A heart so tender yet so tough
Dutiful daughter why bother to fight
She knew he was Daddy, he had to be right
She held her breath to not be heard
She did not utter a single word
Creeping down the hall he came
Whispering, whispering, whispering her name
She thought she knew his love was true
She did not ask, she knew what she was taught to do
Behind closed doors so no one could see
He covered his bases from A to Z
She learned her lesson well
A single soul she would not tell
His secret safe, now locked away
She was just his little waif
Behind the curtain the truth now lies
She'll take it to her grave when she dies
She hides under the covers wearing nothing but a secret
The scent of his maleness lingering on

So emotional and scary lines.
Powerfully penned.
Best of luck in the contest
