Caught

Bound by the chains of fear,
Listening, unable to truly hear;
Watching,  unable to see--
to see beyond the chains that maddening fears
bring forth when one has come undone.

      As tricks are played within and all is dimmed.

Caught inside a darkened mind
One finds oneself imprisoned, one finds
oneself caught within walls that beg to be climbed,
chains that must be broken--
to save ones life.
     To once more hear, to once more see,
     and truly know what it is like to be free.

    I've had massive walls around me for long time, and chains that weighed like thousand tons. I didn't think I could be freed of them, till one day I tried and succeeded. We all can break those walls and chain, we just need courage to do it.
    Your poem is just great, and quite deep and sad too. Yet, I do spot a wish there and am sure it will prevails.
    Un bacio grande a te!

    I relate even though the chains are probably different for you and me. But that feeling of inaction, fear of not being to do what others seem to do so easily...I know that challenge...have suffered it all my life. I suspect my walls are shorter than yours but they are still walls. Hang in there Mi, I know about your chains, we've discussed it before.
