The Wind
is power. Crushing,
destroys houses, homes of children and lovers.
The Wind
is gentle. Caresses a lone leaf
blowing in an explosion of sheer ecstacy and love
The Wind
is movement. Change.
Everything. Nothing

The only thing I would quibble with, which is based purely on personal belief mind you, is the fact that I feel the wind is far, far from being "nothing". It carries such power and force and yet a gentleness too, much like the hand of a mother. Sounds like a strange comparison I know, but that's what just came to me.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to enter my contest. Good luck!

I like this, and not the "yeah, yeah, it was good like it" I really like it. I think that I specifically like the last "stanza" the best, it seems almost zen in nature.

I live in the high desert and we always have wind. Here it is quite predictable too, it always comes about 2:00pm..just a matter of how hard. Nice write.
