Inspiration bends my tree
in arms of river
flowing through me
to surge my season,
not to see
but bare in body,
as ghost to sing in Echo's canyon;
a little breath of Heaven's song
through lips to blush
before you speak
in interruption,
as shyer thought of Finger's touch
when neck is warm
from Sun's first kiss
in rush of air
to breathe your hair in rise
of sky to dance;
and move those clouds
of doubt to billow
as pillowed hope
in Love's enchantment,
floating heart
above the world
with walls and fences holding on
to last year's leaves
without an escort,
as if such brown pretending green
could ever fly
to find your laughter
in gust of innocent song to feather
within the fall of earthward glance
looking for a poem to gather.

I wonder if I have ever told you that I admire yoru writing so very much. Thre are a few poets on here that simply take my breath away, time after time, after time. This is one of those times...every word is my favotie here, but this..

could ever fly
to find your laughter
in gust of innocent song to feather
within the fall of earthward glance
looking for a poem to gather."
