If the colors on this flower
Can exist in harmony
Then why can't our world?
Why don't we have the power
To love everybody that we see
Why should one be better than others?
Who's to say what's superior?
Why should blue and red be ranked?
Why can't we all be brothers?
Why should black and white be in strife?
If everyone were suddenly blind
Then surely we'd see
No man is better than anyone else
If we were blind we'd surely find
That all who walk the Earth are equal
If only we could finally love
And forget all the colors
If we could put aside our troubles
Then surely we could rise above
And live always as brothers
If we could only finally love
We could surely rise above
We could finally live as brothers
And live our lives like flowers
Author notes
I think this'd have some kind of southern gospel sound to it. O.o

I wrote something similar in my poem Judgements. I like yours a lot. Sometimes, I'm sure it would be better if we were all blind and mute. Then there'd be no way to blame someone for what none of us can control. It's beautiful.

This is great! I don't really know what else to say about it except that it was great! My favorite line is the last one; I really liked how you wrapped it up. Good luck in the contest!
