la alma y su amour

"so this was my life?" asked a lifeless one, as he floated onward to oblivion,
"the shards, the broken scenery, and cracked sky. it never got better,
                yet never worsened."

And he stared down into the hole where his home was,
Saw everyone in thier normal routine,
the laundry needed to be done, dishes washed, floors swept (though vaccumes were more efficent in this day and age)
No one cared, yet no one was apathetic, just the routine.
Like drones, they carried on.

His work still piled up at the desk he once drew at,
Sketchbooks piled to the ceiling told the story of his life,
The work never sent in yet he felt no pain in it,
After all, it wasn't good..or bad for that matter. Just average.
Sighing a deep sigh he floated on to the place he grew to love.

And in that place, she sat.
Under the willow tree, just relaxing,
Black hair dancing in the slight breeze,
The ring still on her finger, that light in her dark eyes still shining,
The song in her heart still called out to him,
So he answered the call, yet again, and swam down into her loving arms,
though his form was no longer the same, she reckognized him instantly,
She pulled him into an embrace and held him close,
He stroked her soft cheek gently and his heart sang with joy.
For what seemed like hours, they remained entwined in eachother as they'd always been in life,
Finally she picked up her head and inquired

"Love, why did you leave me?"

He  held her hand and smiled, "I never left you, my dear, and I never will"

And he remained by her side 'til, in no haste, she joined him,
And they floated on to the afterlife, entwined forever in love.

    THAT WAS INTENSE!

So powerfully moving, it held me...gripping me all the way through to the end, and tears filled my eyes.

This is how every one who has lost a loved-one should feel! I found comfort in your words...so wise and compassionate.

I loved how it ended saying that he remained with her always, until she died, joining him.

This is how I have come to view losses as well..that they have never really left me, and everything that I love in life will one day re-join me after this life passes us all by.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WRITE...ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE READ...THE TITLE IS WONDERFUL, "THE SOUL OF YOUR LOVE"- THAT SAYS IT ALL!!!
