Cataracts of the minds eye

dark horizons beckon and slowly I’m lost,
the light fades away and I begin to drift off.
Framed against a sky of lightning and thunder,
I sit on the ground as its ripped asunder.
The isolated trees burst into solitary flames,
the creatures of the pasture make corrugated graves.
You sit and you suffer and you hate one another
And sometimes find a lover to hate the world with.

their cascading broken bodies falling gently through the air,
in Brownian spirals of hopeless despair.
the fumes consume my vision and in poison swirls,
signify the time for the banners of hell to unfurl.
the grass cracks and blackens and the sickly smell,
is all the world burning and the world burning well.

You sit and you suffer and you hate one another
And sometimes find a lover to hate the world with.

The walls begin to fall, trip slip and tumble,
crack twist and slide, and constantly crumble.
the bricks revert to dust, convoluted by the storm,
losing all cohesion, shape and fluted form.
the luminary lights sit atop glazed stilted thrones,
casting ethereal radiant glows upon the immolated stones.

You sit and you suffer and you hate one another
And sometimes find a lover to hate the world with.

Behind the curtains, with the walls now stripped bare,
the demons writhe in ecstasy with an anorexic stare.
fixated on pursuit of their pleasure through our pain,
caressing as we suffer their copulating strain.
castrating reality with a severing glance
of catatonic symbolism, of an esoteric trance.

You sit and you suffer and you hate one another
And sometimes find a lover to hate the world with.

Drifting my minds eyes slipping further to the sty,
The cancer view pervading the natural blue-black sky.
The red river flowing from within infested wombs,
Pestilent yellow noxium filling children’s tombs.
Regress growing in peer pressured hate,
Contrasting the growing fascination with fate.

You sit and you suffer and you hate one another
And sometimes find a lover to hate the world with.

In cataract pervasions of a simpler truth,
You set fire to the beast that you have let loose.
Tyranny that smacks of a harlots home,
Dirty and dank but your never alone!
And I sit and I suffer and whilst you hate one another
I don’t hate you and I just want to live
You mind find the time to un-live the lie
Or even find a lover to love the world with
