Imagine This

A little girl sat down to read a book of empty pages
and with her mind set the tone to chose the many stages
there were no written words to use nor illustrations bright
Just what she conjoured in her head that made it all so right
Anxiously she flipped the pages her eagerness intact
with her mind she created and there was no turning back.
And as she sat upon the ground, she leaned upon a tree
yet she could have sat down with a hare to keep her company.
Then she viewed her empty book and filled in all the spaces
she placed tall trees upon the earth and flowers in many places.
She even drew a crystal lake where animals come to rest
where birds of brilliant colors lay nestled in their nest.
She could imagine a world of scenes and add it to her book
I'm sure you're curious by now and would like to take a look.
Can you see right over yonder above those silky blades of grass
the little girl will paint a bridge where people all can pass.
And not too very far away and yet still not very close
she paints a house and chimney with the things that she loves most.
Inside the warm and cozy house filled with love and happiness
you'll find a happy couple whose hearts overflow with bliss.
she did not paint them in her mind, for she is their creation
they are the parents who taught her how, to use her imagination.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST POEMS I HAVE READ IN A VERY LONG TIME. THIS DESCRIBES EVERYTHING AS IF I WAS SITTING THERE WATCHING THIS BEAUTIFUL CHILD. VERY WELL WRITTEN. THANK YOU FOR THE JOY.

Wonderful imagery and imagination. I love the sense of this "little girl" she reminds me of a younger me, where I constantly made up stories and managed to keep myself amused in what I saw as a mundane world. Still do on occasion. LOL Very astute rhymes here my sister and a vibrant tale of telling. Excellent! I wish you well in this challenge.

    Much Love ♥

    awe-struck is my reaction,
this is more wonderful than i can imagine,
you painted the picture better than it was
and added the story of where the girl comes from,
giving it that special touch of love,
i think you've made this awesome.
