petals
of inspiration
scatter
on slight winds of slumber
wizardly whispers
curling in brush-stroked hues
over the canyons of my soul
a subtle semblance
colors of my thoughts
seen through eyes of my heart

Congrats on winning the Bronze!
This poem is filled with images that rock the senses into submission. There is an urgency to know, even on "winds of calm". Very beautifully written.
I hope all is going well for you and your family. Congrats on the new addition.
Much Love ♥
Renee

Beautiful poetry
Loved it. The alliterration kept the words trickling down, and only peered out compared to the strength of your conjured images. Beautiful words, you drew out the words of such a wonderful image

Deliciously Dreamy!
An amazing piece of poetry!
Just loved the
"over the canyons of my soul"
So reminds me of Colorado but I love the
crescendo with Seen through eyes of my heart!
Applause Sweetheart! Applause!
I should not be surprised by your poetry by now!
Let's just say it's a pleasure to be reading your poetry again!

Sweet Lady, you are ever so right. Just had to follow up the last one with a more positive 'touch.' Though not as "metaphorical" as the last, this one was a little more challenging, as no line could be over 10 syllables. I'm so pleased you liked this offering, and I thank you for your constant encouragement, support, and friendship. My 'light' would surely dim without your presence, dear friend. Much love and laughter to you...

What an interesting picture..."flower of half a dream"...and then the beautiful poem that follows like a whisper, gently placed here on this page ... the petals of dreams falling... Those last two lines are just amazing - brilliant, my friend. I guess this poem is a follow-up of the previous one...a series of thoughts that play out behind the closed eyes..."seen through the eyes of the heart". Aah yes, our dreams are indeed the thoughts of our hearts - how creative and how utterly beautiful the colour of your thoughts...so very moving too. Soft-spoken poetry, yet the images here so vivid and clear... Brilliant!

This is stunning... soft petals scattering on the wind is beautiful, leading one to the enchantment of wizards, what visions, what imagination... but I especially loved the metaphor
"curling in brush-stroked hues
over canyons of my soul"
surreal and just amazing! This is a dream you can melt right into sweetie! Excellent piece, so few words, but oh, what outstanding imagery! Best of luck in the contest, again your talent shines! Love you, Annie

My Dear Annie...I'm thrilled you enjoyed this "dreamscape" so much. I'm off in yet another direction with my writing...again! You know me... Maybe I should change my name to the 'rolling poet'...LOL! Anyway, thanks so very much, dear sister, for your kind words and constant support. I adore you! Much love coming your way, Sweetie!!
