Insane

Missing image

Depraved, I’m the sloth that enters your mind
A purulent puss they call me insane
The mucilage keeping your fears entwined
Depraved, I’m the sloth that enters your mind
I’m the voice of hate that will make you blind
Twisting your soul as I nest in your brain
Depraved, I’m the sloth that enters your mind
A purulent puss they call me insane

Triolet

A Triolet is a poetic form consisting of only 8 lines. Within a Triolet, the 1st, 4th, and 7th lines repeat, and the 2nd and 8th lines do as well. The rhyme scheme is simple: ABaAabAB, capital letters representing the repeated lines.

Make writing a Triolet more challenging! Make each line 8 syllables in length (4 metrical feet), written in iambic tetrameter (the more common way), or try it in pentameter (English version) where each line only has 10 syllables(5 metrical feet).

    Twisted Isn't from being crazy

it is what happens when we are tethered to life with all it's entanglements. If cutting the cords is considered insane then at least I am a free puppet.

Twisted form for a twisted contest.I clap for it like this.Because I think they are coming to take me away and I want to seem like i am enjoying myself outside the Sanatarium.

Hmmm... a form poem... This wasn't very long, and that's cool. Your imagery here is pretty darn good... I wish there was more to it though kinda.... besides that, I enjoyed this. Thank you very much for entering my contest and good luck.

I am a big HP Lovecraft fan and this triolet fits his genre perfectly.

    Nicely penned.

    For some reason...

all I could think of with this piece... is racism...

    I guess it makes sense...

since it is a very ugly monster eh?

    This is outstanding...

reminded me I never was able to go in and edit the triolet I did like you said...

The repetition works well here. I enjoy seeing that in a poet’s work and it was the first thing that caught my eye here. I also admit that the background was just way too cool. It’s not one I could write something for so I can appreciate that. You did it so well here. You were the only person in the contest to tackle this option. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to enter my contest. Good luck!

I meant the poetry form. The poem I could understand... I thought I was going insane once... I'm still insane!

Insane is a feeling I am familiar with. It is what happens when you talk to me. Except my insane is the good kind of insane and this is the bad kind, like James Ensor experienced. Three very psychotic bunnies for you.
