Things cannot always be,
Like this- just you and me.
I will sprout- I will grow-
Off to school I will go.
If you love me- you will softly say,
That I am perfect in every way.
If you love me- you will hide your tears,
Say no worries- and kiss away my fears.
If you love me?
You say, life is like the seasons,
Always changing without reasons.
-another month gone.
-another moment lost.
-another tear drop.
-getting older- moving on.
You fed me your candy mentality.
You told me your lies.
I am beautiful you said?
Soft baby skin I have?
I smell of heavenly roses?
My smile lights the world?
-I only wish it to be true.
-But
-It is all lies.
As I grow in age-
-One pair of shoes after another.
-seasons pass.
-I grow with “winter” wisdom.
I- love you- I understand such lies,
Looking at me through your tainted eyes.
You want to protect me,
You wanted to be,
My dragon slaying protector.
I only wish you could be here now,
To tell me I am right- tell me how,
I am the love in your dreams,
I must wipe away these streams,
Pouring from my eyes.
I visit you every day.
Flowers I do lay.
On your grave.
And I will save.
My love for you.
Please know I love you and the tears now pouring from my eyes is but the surface of an illuminated heartbroken soul.

Filled with soo much
Anyone who has ever experienced, the loss of their mother would be able to relate. The sentimentality, is very vivid, very real. The loss of ones mom, is something which one always carry with us, some days are better than others. The poem is beautifully written. Awesome.

So this is truth of this life...It is really a great and heartfelt work revealing the place of the love between the lies and the truths of the life...Its sentiments are amazing which brings out the serenity of the soul with reference to the human desires and the capacities of the humans terms of the achievements at the level of true love...Well here I find a very touching poem scripted by the heart of a poet... -
The bond between a mother and her child is shown very well. With the change in attitude in the middle of the poem you bring the reader through the passage of time. Until they're gone or nearly there, one can never fully understand the love your mother has for you.

I dont even know what to say. I believe I am left completely, and utterly silent. These words, are things I have felt as a child, as I have grown older. As I now lay flowers on my Mothers grave, with tear filled eyes. Relating to the picture was so well done. My heart is beating so fast, none other in this contest has affected me this way. I truly believe you have hit my soul. -Wonderful- No other words can do justice or explain how much this means to me now. I think I love you
