I slip my hand into yours,
&& I feel the same feeling I felt before.
We walk in the rain, in the mid-moonlight,
Gazing up at the stars, such a beautiful sight.
Your arm around my waist, huggin' me,
It's horrible that in the day, we can never be.
We're diffrent colors and religions too,
All I know is that our hearts beat in rhythm, which remains so true.
Our parents are so blind, why can't they see,
We'll be together anyway, you && me.
You give me a ring && kiss me on the lips,
Then you look into my eyes && we touch finger tip to finger tip.
Our blood flows free, through each one of our veins,
It's strange how we're diffent, but so the same.
Author notes
I was thinkin' of me and this guy he's white and I'm black... But he likes me and I like him... Our families.

Aww
This poem is so heartbreaking! It's what I'm looking for in this contest and it makes me want to tell all the people who have forbidden this love to go to h-e-double hockeysticks! I truly hope you have your happy ending. Good luck in the contest! -

This is a truly beautiful poem. It was so mysterious and so passionate, yet sad and angry as well. Great rhyming scheme you have going here! Great piece truly. x0x0-loserface
