I'd gone far from home for your dream.
I was lost in the red of your sunset hair,
I floated in the blue skies of your eyes.
I was lost in joy & illusion,
thinking I belonged, dreaming only of your song.
Now that all these years,
and decades past the flood of tears,
I still think of you,
try not to dream of you,
try not to fear for you.
