Eyes, fixated elsewhere,
Heart, hurt so unfair,
With such a simple deed as this,
Love gone, no more to kiss.
And yet, life beckons,
No need for endless rejections,
Must continue with what has been planned,
It is but her fate, this she must understand.
Oh why, it had to be that a love so deep,
Was ripped apart by his endless sleep?
No more to see the face she longs,
No more to hear his sweetly songs.
Yet, fate intervenes, winds in the distance,
Finding solitude in God's persistence,
To see the eventual reclamation of souls,
And residing hearts as their love endlessly unfolds.
With this, the urge for but one last touch
To see what cannot be seen so much
As ever would ever allow.
In this moment, a life is ended,
A travesty of which cannot be defended,
But love stands stronger than the fall.

Deep, emotinal and wonderfully painted. You have done great justice in this, and I went through each line seeing one more brush stroke on a canvas giving way to the lovers' plight and sorrow.
Thank you for entering good luck! -
I like it. I know how it feels...
