Welcome to my world
Take a look around
theres color on the wall
Theres carpet on the floor
I know its simple,
I like it plain
the morning, sleeping in
Afternoons in the rain,
Drawings of ideas paint a picture
of elderly gentlemen
with their bubbly girls
written into wills
the solitude and courtship
between the man and his liquor
shame and bravery with a dash of self pity
of course its mixed on the rocks.
The flirting lovers,
trading quips and quotes.
reminiscent of the playground
back with the
Little boy curiosity
cheerful and hyper,
chase chase chase
the little girls
Welcome to my world
Take a look around
Make yourself at home
tell me do you see?
The slidding slope of oppurtunity,
The joy of love to come,
Promises, earned and given
Who would believe it?

This piece is wonderfully written. The first thought that came to my mind while reading it was "Anna Nicole Smith" and that it could have been written from the mind set of the elder man she married...I could be wrong, but that was my first impression.
I really enjoyed reading this piece and liked the form very much

To me this one is like looking at ones past life through a glass of liquor the picture never is quite clear .I love poetry that I try to figure out the meaning being passed out . Tell me if Im off here
