You want me to write something new
Something of interest just for you
I'll think of a subject as I type along
Maybe it will be in the form of a song
I could write about a lovely butterfly
Or about the flowers as we drive by
Maybe a poem about a bird or two
They are lovely creatures that is true
I think I'll write about friendship so kind
About all of the years we have left behind
The good times, the bad there are quite a few
But the best of memories is our friendship is true
So I'll wish you the best of everything my dear
May you always have friends and loved ones near
May your cup overflow with good wishes too
May your life be a long one with a love so true
