Pearly white sands stretch meeting
waves, from an ocean of blue
rainbow colors are framing
the storm clouds long over-due
flying gulls sweep ~ while laughing
in a cluttered rendezvous
while a gentle breeze is drying
the early morning dew.
just another Florida morning
good enough ... for me and for you!
Sea oats in dunes are swaying
fronds of palms wave howdy-do,
long-legged pipers are poking
through the salty residue;
through orange clouds the sun is peeping
all eyes to the sky are glued
the smell in the air is refreshing
all senses are quite imbued.
just another Florida morning
good enough ... for me and for you!
By a lake, serene and calming
trees of cypress stand in queue
as the sun is slowing rising
I can hear an owl or two
across the water echoing
repeating ... who, who, who
while nearby the blossoms blooming
float sweet scents of honeydew.

even if only by means of reading this. I do remember one February when it was cold back here...an escape to the Keys, gulls and Jimmy Buffet...and a Tequila Sunrise and Sunset
. Those were the days...fondly I recall them , as this February has me looking at a deep freeze and a house full of "flu-victims" including self
