Look at these walls around me
They aren't literally there
But I feel them in my mind
This barbed wire wraps itself around my heart
It tells me everything will be alright
It's killing me
Breaking me from the inside out
My heart bleeds as it digs in
But it's the only thing that comforts me at night
This pain is everlasting
And this soul will never heal
But this barbed wire is too deep now
It's wrapped itself around me so tightly
That I cannot pull it apart
I'm getting bled dry
By what once comforted me
I'll die one day due to this pain
It will rip me to shreds
Then leave me to die
Am I still here
Or is this all just a dream
Has this barbed wire killed me already
And I'm just going over the memories
Like a favorite movie?
I have no idea anymore
