My Bower as HOH

Missing image
My bower needs a new look to make it grand once more
new furniture, curtains, nice carpet on the floor.
Gold paint for walls and ceilings to soften room at night
antique furniture to please my taste of grand delight.
Fireplace to warm when rest is needed end of day
soft music fills my boudoir brings pleasure my way.

En suite, the color pink I chose and deeper pink on ground
spa bath my choice to ease all aches that can be found.
With candles bright to set the mood to meditate each morn
before my chores I’ll pamper self in luxury each dawn.
CD player upon the shelf calm music drifts to set the mood
before I dress in clothes from closet then off to eat my food.

My sitting room is very plush with chairs to greet my guests
a fire burns bright in the hearth to warm at my request.
Tea and coffee there with Hine’s famous scones to eat
as maids on hand to serve my guests as each one I greet.
Bay window with table and chairs to view the Castle grounds
where morning tea is served as we listen to the sounds.
Luxury I have television, computer, music, books to read
my thanks to CAATCH who gave me everything I need.

As Head Of Harem in my rooms the guests I greet
welcome to Huguelot Castle do come in have a seat.

Dame angelica HOH

This is beautiful and so well written. It flows so very well in the couplet rhyme scheme. Structured in your own wonderful style, I love the vivid picture you paint. You have a marvelous life style my friend.

    Love,

Dear Anne, Thankyou my friend, it was such a pleasure meeting you as well, I had such fun that day, especially the three of us writing the poem together. I'll be visiting Christchurch with my Daughter next February.

I knew I'd feel welcome and warm here, and for sure I do. I look forward to my visit, might just sat indefinitely. LOL A very homey Bower you have designed and decorated my sister. Good luck in the challenge.

I like the fireplace, good to warm my bones when I come in from the cold. Maybe put the television off to the left a little so I can watch and still stay warm. Do you like how I just stuck myself right in there? LOL

Yes please, Ima and I were arguing about our titles. He said mine was "PITYKW" (Pain in the you know what) and I suggested his was "IHYRIH" (I hope you rot in hell.) But I think we're both wrong. We wouldn't mind being reminded...we promise to copy them down this time.

How scary is it that I speak of me as "we," lol.

Just scones to eat? How about a buffet? I like buffets....

I seem to remember that your last bower was pretty impressive and placed particular emphasis on making guests and friends comfortable. Hope you net a lot of votes for this one.

It seems you've thought of everything to make not just yourself, but all your guests very comfortable! Now that is a sign of a great hostess, and it's easily seen why you are HOH I've yet to try one of Hine’s scones that I've heard so much about, but I hope I'll have a chance soon.

    Best wishes and good luck!

    Dear AJ,
A lovely Bower you have designed to stay in while you're in the Castle. And don't worry you will have an assortment of scones to feed your guest's, I've found some great new recipes that I'll try out.
    A great poem AJ.

    Tap Tap

    Softly do I knock,
On the door of your abode,
In the hope that you will greet me,
With a smile and a nod.

    Upon entering into the delight,
    Of warmth and wonderment,
To sit and gaze upon your bower,
For a morning to be well spent.

As we gaze through your window,
    At the castle grounds beyond,
    Maybe on the beautiful gardens,
    Or ducks on yonder pond.

    Enjoying my surroundings,
    And your selfless company,
I want to say thank you,
    For the invitation to tea.

      Dear Petra,
You're very welcome anytime to my Bower. And do you know the Duck's you speak of are our Paradise Ducks with their ducklings that we brought over from Beckenham Park. NZ
For wherever Hugh and I go they follow, they are like Family now and quite tame.

    A very pleasant bower, indeed!

    Dear Joan,

I would love to be a guest in your nicely decorated, inviting bower! To sit and have a cup of tea and scones in front of a glowing fireplace would be a wonderful way to spend time together. I love that you've included maids to tend to every need. And you've thought of all the necessities, like a CD, the TV, but especially the computer..without which none of this could be possible! Yes, your bower is delightful and I wish you the best in this contest!

    Love,
    Maureen

AHHH Maureen my sweet Sister/Friend we will be spending a lot of quiet time in my Bower listening to my meditation CD's and chatting away together.
Very true about the computer, we would never have met and that would've been a tragedy.
