i told him i loved him
he said he loved me too
we were oh so happy
because i never knew
then one night
at the sweetheart dance
i found them
they weren't just holding hands
and i never how bad it would hurt
and i never how hard i would cry
but now i understand
that there is no such thing as the
heart of a man
i could have sought revenge on then
i could have hurt her to
but i didn't do anything to them
my revenge was on myself
i cut and then i bled
and if i had the chance
i would have done more to
myself

I like the idea but the flow kind of sticks in places and there seemed to be a word or two missing that would make it more understandable in the second phrase, If it was meant that way forgive me, Again all the emotion was there but the deliverance seemed off beat somehow,sorry.
