Forgive Me (Poem)

I saw you walk by
on the street today
You looked at me
but quickly looked away
I knew that look
what you were trying to say
You wanted me to leave you alone
and for it to stay that way

Do you feel me?
Do you hear me now?
Can you see what I'm wearing?
You've turned me into a clown!
Are you ignoring me?
Am I pulling you down?
Well forgive me
my world's been flipped around!

That night
you knocked on my door
And I opened up
to find you on the floor
You were bleeding
I've seen this before
So I closed my eyes
to lock out the gore
But to my surprise
I only saw more!

Do you feel me?
Do you hear me now?
Can you see what I'm wearing?
