finished two days
after Hidalgo
That's quite a race
and an honor to finish
two days ahead of the
former leader
He's had some hard times
in his races
and between
but he always proved faithful
and won the races
and never not finished
There's never been one race
that he didn't finish
but always first
He even won the race that he looked death
in the face
he wouldn't give up

It's not the greatest, but I wanted to write about Hidalgo because he's my favorite horse and that's what I came up with. I hope you like it and I hope it's what you're looking for.
